Hunter Wellingtons meets Jimmy Choo at Fortnum & Mason

The Hunter Story is a "Symbol of British Country Life" that has graced catwalks from New York, Paris, Milan to London.They remain the preferred welly brand from the Royal Family, working farmers, to festival-goers like Kate Moss.

It was September of 1856 when the North British Rubber Company now known as Hunter Boot Ltd was born. Hunters have been manufacturing vulcanised rubber products for over 150 years holding the title for the oldest manufacturer of rubber boots in the UK.

The Welly has always been regarded as a "Symbol of British Country Life" so it was to no surprise that Hunter Boot have joined with fellow Royal Warrant brand Fortnum & Mason to create a new style classic: the eau de nil Wellington Boot. Fortnum & Mason is one of the world's most famous stores renowned for its "quintessential English Charm. Its fame and popularity rests almost entirely on its grand food hall stocking an extraordinary variety of exotic specialty items and also 'basic' provisions. This British combination makes them perfect for any garden, picnic or festival.

Wellingtons were originally designed for walking in Scotland's rugged terrain and combating its unpredictable weather. Now they are heading for the red carpet, festival footwear has just got chicer with the collaboration of Jimmy Choo and Hunters creating the most luxurious Wellington boots around. The Jimmy Choo philosophy is to create exclusive shoes and accessories that are both luxurious and practical whilst creating a look recognised as "Jimmy Choo". They have managed to produce a sleek interpretation of this British Classic.

There collaboration has created a Welly Embossed with signature Jimmy Choo crocodile print and branded top bind. A leopard print lining provides a contrast against the black glossy rubber, the boots have a unique identification plate, uniting the logos of these two iconic British brands.

Hunter has formed many relationships and collaborations with other brands and continue to change with the times. Hunter boots are available in a wide range of styles, more recently they began producing wellies in bright colours such as Gold, Silver, White and Midnight Sparkle to name a few.
