Help us choose the winner from the entries below!

Targetwholesale launches a worldwide campaign to find the most creative poem, short story, song or anything featuring Hunter Wellingtons.  You can be as creative as you like with your entry, why not make it festive or for some inspiration use one of your favourite memories you had wearing your Hunters.

Any entries that Target consider unsuitable, will be invalid and void.

The competition celebrates Hunter's heritage and the many different places that the Hunter boot is worn today.  The winner will receive one free set of Hunter Wellingtons *shipping applies to USA, Canada, Europe & ROI.

1. This Prize Draw is open to all residents in the UK, *Europe, ROI, *USA, & *Canada.
2. Should an entry from *USA, *Canada, or *Europe win the prize we will send a PayPal money request for *£19.90 for shipping charges.
3. Should an entry from ROI win the prize we will send a PayPal money request for £17.90 for shipping charges.

5. All entries received by 13th December 2009 will be entered into the competition.

7. Final winner will be chosen by the judges.  The judges for this competition will be comprised of members Targetwholesale.

I'm entering this Hunter boot competition for my dad, who goes through a few pairs of wellies a year. My family live on a small holding in Carmarthenshire, South Wales, where we are flooded in around 20 times a year. My Dad (Mick), bless him is out all weathers in his welly boots! I have attached a photo of my dad, braving the floods, and also one of my 'lane' flooded.

wet and dry just like a duck.

You do have style, you must admit, feats of strength, such depth and grit!

Paisley, polka dots, plaid and plain,

Fearlessly, standing tall, against wind, snow, and rain!

Impermeable, irresistible, get up and go;

Wellies, my Wellies, I do love you so!

I really do love Hunters.
Their Wellies are simply the best.
Perfect for splashing in puddles.
To get things off you chest.

I have a pair of Green ones.
Which make me look quite posh.
I'd love another brighter pair.
Just simply don't have the dosh.

Having been a little bit poorly.
My daily walk is my fave.
I lose myself in the countryside.
And try to remain strong and brave.

So another pair of Hunters.
Would beat the winter blues.
And I'll be twitter charm personified.

Standing up straight I swept the hair from my eyes,
Breathing in deep I looked up at the sky,
Moody clouds breaking, the sun beating down,
I vividly remember that raw feeling of 'now'.

The tide crept in as the moon pulled tight,
My personal horizon spinning the light,
A web of glitter echoed by the sea,
As I sat on the beach just my Hunters and me.

The surf whipped up, the breeze blew cool,
Steadied by my soles I stood tall,
Leaning into the wind, my arms outstretched,
A precious moment I'll never forget.

Lungs filling up with salt pricked air,
I let the sea wash away all my worries and cares,
The rhythmic lullaby of the ever breaking wave,
I loved every moment of calm that it gave.

My Hunters walked me on, leading me back home,
The path winding to reality tired and overgrown,
Treading through the dirt and kicking up the mud,
I open the door and smile to myself - I'm feeling pretty damn well good.

My mom went to London with my dad about 10 years ago. They were big antiquers and my dad adores English antiques. My mom insisted on a pair of green Hunter Wellies, the tall ones, as she fell in love with them over there. My mom passed from cancer two years ago, at the age of 60. We have cleaned out all her things from my parents home, but we could not find those tall green Hunter Wellies to save our life. I am still on the hunt for them in their house, but can't seem to find them! I would love a new pair to wear in her honor! Lord knows we need them here in Wisconsin!

The Hunter Boot, (Based on a true story)

I saw my first pair of Hunters on telly,
Young Kate Moss was on, strutting through mud.
Suddenly it was THE essential festival wellie,
Now as I’d always thought, “Wouldn’t it be good”?
“To have the smartest feet at my allotment” - now I could!!!

So I waited the next morning in line,
It had turned mine was not a unique idea,
Before me the girls who raised swine and equine,
PLUS the ones for whom fashion held dear.
I reversed the big ‘Queue This Way’ sign,
And the first pair of Hunters were mine,
Now I breeze through the mire in top gear!

That pair’s been with me through thick and thin,
And they still fit me just like kid gloves.
There’s no way they’ll end up in the bin,
As they’ve treated my toes with such love.
They’ll be passed on to my next of kin,
As I’m hoping a new pair I’ll win,
Because these are the only boots I’d be proud of!
